This 4-day course and takes the basic 18 hour Mountain Training Course and extends it 2 days, this gives lots of time to practice the new navigation skills you have learnt, but to take them further afield on an overnight expedition. This will include a wild camp.

Courses are for anyone who is interested in exploring our mountains, we hope you have some experience, but its not essential.
If you are an aspiring Mountain Leader then this is the ideal foundation course for you. We will look at all aspects of the Summer Mountain Leader and help you prepare for that 6 Day ML Training Course.
Based in Glenridding - we spend 4 days exploring the Helvellyn area including Patterdale, Grizedale and High Street
Based in Langdale - we spend 4 days exploring the valley and its surrounding mountains, Langdale is home to so many great mountains.
This course is based in Borrowdale on the shores of Derwent Water. From here we have access to Scafell and Scafell Pike and surrounding mountains over into Ennerdale, Our travels will take us beyond the beaten trail.
Glencoe has some our highest and most daunting mountains, based at Glencoe Mountain Resort we will spend 4 days teaching you how great they are and how you can get the most from a day out.
The Ciarngorm National Park, home to some of the highest mountains in Britian. Our 4 day course is based at Cairngorm Mountain resort, from here we have easy access to these splendid mountains..
