group of walkers on scafell pike in winter with a mountain leader guide

Scafell Pike Winter Guided Walk

Winter Mountain Guided Walk Information

Climb England’s highest mountain in full winter conditions. At 3,209ft - Scafell Pike is England’s ultimate mountain challenge. Starting at Wasedale Head, we’ll climb up to Lingmell Col and then up to Scafell summit. You'll enjoy breath taking winter views across the Lake District fells. Sometimes we can see as far as the Isle of Man. We’ll spend some time on the summit and enjoy the moment before descending.

This is not a winter skills course but we'll help you fit your crampons and provide coaching tips if you need it.

You’ll be guided by experienced and qualified Winter Mountain Leaders. We’ll set a comfortable pace and keep you safe so you can relax and enjoy the mountains.

The route takes 5-7 hours to complete. It’s a tough walk so a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.

If the scheduled dates don’t suit you just get in touch, and we’ll create a bespoke experience for you. Bespoke days also allow you to choose your own date and route. Why not challenge yourself by taking in more summits like Great End and Broad Crag or tackle the famous Corridor route.

You'll be provided with joining instructions and kit list when you book.
