This is the perfect navigation course for anyone with no navigation experience. You’ll develop basic map reading and navigation skills to start navigating your own walks.
Gain the confidence to plan your own walks and explore lowland or countryside areas. The NNAS Bronze Navigator Award is an introductory navigation course for people with no experience. You'll learn all the navigation skills needed to safely follow paths and tracks in rural areas.
You’ll develop navigation skills needed to explore more remote areas and mountainous terrain. The NNAS Silver Navigator Award is an introductory navigation course for people with no experience. Learn to navigate away from paths and tracks. You'll also learn compass skills and poor weather navigation techniques.
You’ll develop navigation skills needed to explore remote and complex mountainous terrain. The NNAS Gold Navigator Award is an advanced navigation course for people with basic navigation skills. You'll develop an advanced level of navigation equivalent to the Mountain Leader award.
The National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) is a personal performance, non-competitive, incentive scheme for all ages to learn navigation skills and gain confidence to get out and enjoy the countryside.
