This is the perfect course for anyone with no navigation experience. You’ll develop basic map reading and navigation skills to start navigating your own walks.
Gain the confidence to plan your own walks and explore new areas. The NNAS Bronze Navigator Award is a practical hands-on introduction for people with no experience. It's also the starting point for many DofE students, and youth groups.
You’ll develop navigation skills needed to explore more remote areas and cross open country. The NNAS Silver Navigator Award develops your current skills to navigate using small features and places away from paths and tracks. You'll learn new compass techniques and spend time navigating only by contours.
The National Navigation Award Scheme (NNAS) is a personal performance, non-competitive, incentive scheme for all ages to learn navigation skills and gain confidence to get out and enjoy the countryside.
